DIVERSITY STATEMENT

EQUALITY + DIVERSITY + INCLUSIVITY

how we show up

Totem upholds the principles of equality, diversity and inclusivity. We are committed to promoting these values in our interactions with our Team, associates, clients and suppliers and the wider community.

We are full-throated in our approach to creating a business culture where all voices are heard. Based on a coach-approach our organisation recognises that change is an organic process, and healthy change is often created through times of struggle.

We slow down to listen to one another (and to do so we accept this takes an investment of time) and arrive at a place of deeper understanding of differing points of view. By actively engaging in difficult conversations, we have learnt to lean in, to listen and to adapt.

We are whole-heartedly committed to equal opportunities and reject all forms of discrimination based on; race and/or ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, marital status, religious belief, age, and disability.

ICAEW DIVERSITY STATEMENT

the formal requirement

Totem is authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to carry out the reserved legal service of non-contentious probate in England and Wales.

As an accredited probate firm, we are required to monitor the diversity of our principals and staff and publish the findings of the monitoring. As a small firm, the partners and individual members of staff could be identified from the summarised results we have collated. For this reason, only less sensitive data is disclosed in the statement below:

Of the Partners and staff who responded to the survey, the data showed that the age range of the Team was between 35 and 64 and the professional qualifications held were from various professional bodies.
